Site: Medium sized urban back garden

Location: Fulham

Budget: £35,000 (including lighting)

Garden Design Brief: This large house in Fulham was redesigned by architects to incorporate a new open plan family kitchen/dining/sitting room, leading onto the garden. The brief was to lift the level of the garden up to the same level as this new room – so that large concertina glass doors could open seamlessly onto a new terrace with views over the garden. The client wanted a large lawn area, space for a children's playhouse and for family dining. This garden was in a conservation area and we worked carefully to preserve the willow tree and to keep within planning restraints.
