Garden Design Brief: This lovely large space originally had a narrow terrace, an unsightly flood wall and insecure boundary fencing down one side. The brief was to open up the terrace removing the redundant flood wall and to create a relaxed family garden. A new slate terrace with circular steps down to the garden created a great space for dining and entertaining. An organic shaped lawn leads to a soft play area and deep borders allow for vegetables to be grown on wigwams during the summer months. New fencing and planting transformed the boundaries and in a few years time the neighbour's extension at the bottom of the garden should be hardly visible.
